Jean’s Tater Tot Surprise Casserole
Here’s a recipe you can have lots of fun with. The ingredients are just a starting point. Feel free to change, add, subtract as your inspiration dictates.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 C chopped onion
- 1/2 t Salt
- 1 can condensed Cream of Mushroom soup
- 1 can condensed Cream of Chicken soup
- 1 pkg frozen tater tots
- 1/4 lb shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation:
- Precook ground beef
- add chopped onion and salt
- Heat thoroughly and then drain
- Layer ground beef mix in bottom of 12″ x 6″ (or similar sized) baking pan. You can oil/grease/Pam the pan first if you want.
- In a bowl, mix soups and milk then pour it over the beef layer
- Spread out a layer of tater tots on the soup
- Sprinkle cheese on top
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes
- Enjoy
