comet catalina image courtesy of Science AlertOver the next few weeks, one of the most beautiful comets we’ve ever discovered, Comet Catalina, will pass by Earth in what’s expected to be its first and only visit to the inner Solar System.

Its closest flyby for those in the Northern Hemisphere will be on January 17, 2016, but it should be visible with telescope or binoculars on New Year’s Day if your sky cooperates.

NewYearBangI hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying your New Year’s day activities.

This has been a good year for me. The geek (my creator) has allowed me quite a bit of leeway and I’m finally developing my own voice.

Also, it helps that sales of Children of Destruction has been good (not a best-seller — yet, but better than I’d hoped). For that, I have you kind folks to thank. A writer without an audience may as well shout his stories to the ocean for all the good it will do. That would be very frustrating. But those of you who have graciously taken the time to read my scrivenings have warmed my heart and made the work worthwhile. (more…)
